How to pack anxiety Free

Honestly NO ONE enjoys packing for trips. There is so much anxiety involved with the “what to wear”! Most women tend to over pack in a rushed attempt to be prepared for whatever may come their way. I have some important news, packing more doesn't mean you are more prepared…it means you are paying more for your bag at the airport! I don’t want you to stress anymore when it is time to travel, follow these few guidelines and it will change the way you pack…forever!

1. Do not pack late the night before!

This almost always insures that you will just throw a ton of random stuff in a suitcase in hopes that half of it will actually work. You're tired already and good decisions will not be made, trust me. Start prepping a week out, and add a little as you think of things you feel good in and that makes sense for where you are going!

2. Check the weather a few days prior

This is not 100% guarantee but it will help you make the right choices in the wardrobe department. Do you need layers? Is it supposed to rain?

3. Start with your shoes first

Look at you schedule or itinerary and see what your trip will consist of. Will you be walking a lot? Do you need a dress shoe for dinner? It is beyond important that your feet are happy when you travel! Now if you purchase new shoes for this adventure make sure you break them in before the trip! Blisters are NOT your friends and you will go from feeling cute to paying any crazy amount of money for the first pair of ugly/simi-comfortable shoes you get your hands on!

4. Pack black…A lot of black

I know that it is summer and you can’t wait to get your hands on your fresh white jeans, but traveling in light colors is a big risk. Anything can happen and it’s just not worth it to ruin or be self conscious in your clothes because of stains. Think black skinny jeans, dark denim skinny jeans, a little black dress, dark denim jacket, black leather jacket, black t-shirt.

So as you get ready to travel and enjoy our summer that is right around the corner just know that you don’t have to dread packing. You may never love it but you no longer have to loose sleep over it! You have so got this!

keep loving what you wear!
