My coffee table must haves
My coffee table is something I look at every day. I have a relationship with my coffee table because I spend most evenings near it, sitting on the couch with the lap top and working til I give up and go to bed. I am a very visual person and I want the places that I am around to be comforting and soothing. These are a few of the items that I am currently loving on my coffee table and I though I would share in case you are needing any new ideas on what you can freshen up yours!
-Voluspa Diffuser- I love walking into my home after work and it smelling fresh. Home can become such a busy place. For us it is full of clothes that need to be laundered, some kind of meat or veggies case has been cooking, and the cutest kids who have been playing outside. I am an avid diffuser use because it is a constant promise of the most wonderful scent.
-Marble Coasters- I grew up with my momma telling me to use a coaster and it has stuck with me! Thank goodness because the coasters have saved my coffee table from what I know would be 100 little circles from all the coffee cups and glasses. My kids now know to grab a coaster and this momma will be grateful.
-Lafco Candle- this candle was a birthday gift from a friend and it has found the perfect spot on my coffee table. I am a candle gal, I light one every night without fail. It has become part of my “chill and get to work” night time routine. Now, this particular candle is a splurge because it is more than I would normally spend but it smells like heaven. I love everything about candles, in fact I may have more than I care to admit in my house, but hey, you can never have too many candles can you?
-Fashion Coffee Table books- I was on Amazon the other day and found some of the prettiest hard back coffee table books that I could snag for so much cheaper than what I see them for in the store. I want the books I have lying around to mean something to me. I have several on fashion, a few on travel from places Case and I have been, and that just makes it personal and special for me. So I will occasionally poke around and see what I can find at a good price and put it in the perfect spot!
-Metallic Serving Tray- I This is the best way I have found to organize all the random that lands on my coffee table. All the remotes and gaming remotes that the TV and my son have can look messy and cluttered. The tray helps keep everything together and keeps the mess at bay. I add a couple picture frames and a vase of fresh flowers and it is complete! I run and grab fresh flowers about 2-3 times a month because I simply love to look at them. Fresh flowers make me happy, and I’d rather skip one meal out and have flowers all month long. My favorite places to buy my blooms are at Trader Joes and Central Market. They is always a ton to choose from and I only buy what is on sale!
Hope you guys have a great week ahead! I have been trying so hard to keep my weekends less packed so that we have more family time, more down time to just be a family of four and not running in different directions. That said, I can't wait for more family games nights where we are sitting on the floor of the living room playing a mean game of dominos, and using my coffee table!
