Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2020: What You Need to Know

I’m sure you’ve heard it by now, but the biggest, most exciting sale of the year is almost here! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is by far the craziest part of my year as a stylist, yet a part I always look forward to. In case you are not sure of what the sale is or how it works, I’m here to give you all the inside scoop of what you need to know! You do not want to miss this one. 

What is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?

So, you may be wondering how is this sale different than any other sale? Most summer sales are discounts on items that have already been on the shelves for a while, but this sale is on brand new, never before seen merchandise for the upcoming fall season. Many of these items you will not be able to find or purchase after the sale, so if you see something you must have (and I promise you will), get it ASAP! It all sells out so fast and will not always be restocked. 

What Do I Need to Know?

Mark your calendars! All of you Nordstrom card holders, you get to shop the sale a week before the public. However, the dates you are qualified to shop depend on your Nordstrom card holder status. Early access for the top-level card holders (Icon members) starts August 4th. Ambassadors can shop starting August 7th, Influencers August 10th, and Insiders (this is if you have a Nordstrom card at all) August 13th. Don’t have a Nordstrom card yet? Get one HERE – it’s super easy and gives you access to great benefits throughout the year. But don’t worry, you don’t have to be a card holder to shop the sale! It opens to the public on August 19th until August 30th. Some items will be restocked from what was sold out from early access, but if you want to be sure not to miss anything, getting a card is the way to go!

What to Look Forward to?

Before the sale starts, I always like to do a wardrobe check-up, figuring out what I need to get rid of, what I need to replace, what I need to add, etc. It can be hard thinking about fall and winter wear in the middle of the summer, but you won’t find deals like this on Nordstrom’s top brands any other time! It’s the perfect time to update your denim selection, shoe collection, and those fall necessities such as cardigans and coats.
