Spring 2021 Trends
It may be literally freezing outside in Texas right now, but Spring is right around the corner. Who’s ready for it?! I’m ready to move those heavy layers to the back of my closet and refresh my wardrobe with some new pieces that are currently at the top of the trending list for Spring 2021. You may need a few updates too, or even find that you already own some of these- So what do you need to know? I’m here to give you a list of 5 trends for the season that are fun, fresh, and runway-approved.
1. Cropped Cardigans
You may have already begun to see cropped cardigans making their way into the scene. These are so fun to style over a cami or wear solely as a sweater by buttoning it up and pairing with jeans or a skirt.
2. Quilted Shoes
Bottega Veneta introduced this trend with their iconic Rubber Lido Sandal. Luckily high fashion has made its way to the streets, so I’m linking a few other similar styles from more affordable brands too!
3. Rib Knits
Rib knit tanks, pants, skirts, and cardigans are few of the things you’ll see in this material. If you’re all about the comfort- this one is for you! Even ribbed loungewear sets are acceptable to pair with sneakers and dainty jewelry for a day of running errands.
4. Relaxed Trousers and Jeans
Don’t get me wrong, I still love my skinny jeans. But the wide leg, boyfriend style pant is making a comeback big time. I’m a fan of a cropped wide leg, whether it be jeans or trousers, that I can style with flats or sneakers without feeling frumpy. Here are some of my favs that are similar to styles I currently own!
5. Leather Accents
That’s right, you don’t have to put back all of your leather for spring! Light colored leather jackets and skirts make great winter-to-spring transitional pieces. You’ll even find leather accents in tops, pants, and accessories like headbands and shoes.
Now that you have the basics of what you’ll be seeing in spring of 2021, it’s time to shop! Staying up to date with seasonal trends doesn’t always mean you have to get a completely new wardrobe, it’s just about being intentional with how you wear what you have and adding a few new pieces to create some updated looks. Hopefully this inspires you to go shopping in your closet with fresh eyes, or feel free to indulge in a spring shopping spree!
