Back to the Basics with Saks
When in a season that calls for bright colors and bold prints, it can be easy to forget about the basics! Bright colors and prints still serve their purpose in the summer, but we all need those pieces we know will take us from work to dinner and season to season. I personally find so much value in having a wardrobe that is fun but practical, trendy but classic, and simple but versatile. Today we are throwing it back to the basics with a few neutral pieces from Saks that help my wardrobe be just that!
One thing I know I can invest in without having buyer’s remorse is a good neutral blazer. This one is a linen blend, making it the perfect weight for the summer. I love how perfectly it pairs with this Alice + Olivia satin tank that can be classy for work and chic for date night.
As you may have noticed as you’re walking through stores, crop tops have made their way to the front of the line for summer 2022. As I stated before, I’m all about jumping on trends yet keeping it classic and practical at the same time. I got excited when I found this cropped puff sleeve cardigan and white peplum flounce top, knowing I could throw them on with my high-rise denim and feel current but comfortable.
I’m also a big dress fan in the summer. This tie front minidress will definitely be one that I pack in my suitcase for Italy this month, along with this fun bucket hat… how perfect for vacation?! I tied in all the neutrals with these brown wedge sandals that have easily paired with everything- and this $150 raffia clutch.
