Cooler temps are just around the corner and with the change in weather my skin care routine needs some extra attention. I love nothing more than a hot shower when the temperature starts to drop. The problem I always have is how dry and stiff my skin can feel after the hot water. Like always I look to Nordstrom to help me find the perfect solution! There are so many fabulous choices when it comes to skin care brands and moisturizers. I want to know that what I invest in will be healthy for my skin and worth the money!

Nordy is smart about picking up new brands and products in order to have the latest and greatest on hand to choose from. One of my newest purchases has been the Augustinus Bader body oil and body lotion. The body oil applied right after my shower, followed up with the lotion has been the perfect solution for my skin to maintain hydration and to stay smooth. If you haven’t ever tried a body oil it truly is super moisturizing and nourishes the skin in an instant! Followed up with the body lotion, I have had found my new rhythm and love the firming affect both products have!

This brand has won so many awards in a very short amount of time because it truly works!

Now one of my favs that I keep buying over and over is the Tata Harper Regenerating Cleanser. It smells divine and is the perfect natural exfoliator that polishes my skin without drying it out. I use this about three days a week and I can truly tell the difference. This brand of skin care is phenomenal because 100% of their products are natural and so completely safe and healthy for your skin.

This next favorite beauty item is actually Case’s. So rather then speak for him, I’ll let him share a few words with you about why he went from never wearing cologne, to finding the best smelling fragrance! Hello - Riane and I were in Brooklyn a couple of years ago when we walked into this little shop where they made men’s cologne, lotion, etc… I’d not been in a fragrance and lotion store before that felt manly, but this one was about as manly as it could be. I found out shortly after we got back home that Nordstrom carried what was now my new favorite brand Le Labo…I wear Santal 33, which has a great combo of leather, smoke and manliness that is unparalleled in men’s fragrances!

Nordstrom has and continues to make shopping for what I need easy and fast. I love being ahead of the game before I start having dry skin problems. La Mer is a brand many of us know, but one of the newer items I added into my night time routine was hand cream. My hands can get very dry when the weather gets cold and I have found that the La Mer hand treatment makes for a great gift during the holidays and also needs to be on your bedside table. Lucky for us Nordstrom currently has the La Mer Rejuvenating Hydration Set on sale. It includes the Hand Treatment and the Lip Volumizer, which stays in my purse all day. The lip treatment is a serum that has a subtle plumping effect while it keeps the lips extra hydrated.

Now that you have some fun tips and ideas on a few great brands that are available it truly is the perfect time to snag something for yourself before the weather gets cold and our skin starts to dry out from running the heaters in our cars and homes!
