Fall Color Trends 2020
Well fellow Texans, we are still waiting on the breeze to get cooler and the leaves to change color, but that’s not stopping me from bringing out my sweaters! This season is my favorite because I’m a fan of layering different textures and patterns, plus I love the hues and tones of autumn.
While you curate your wardrobe for fall, consider adding in some of the top color trends for this year. Neutrals are always in style, but one color I’m especially excited about incorporating is burgundy. Deep wine hues and cherry reds made their appearance on the recent Fall/Winter 2020 runways, whether through accessories or full head-to-toe looks.
Another color I have no problem sporting for the season is saddle, or rust tones. These are a staple year-round, but I love seeing them as corduroy or leather, or come through in animal prints and florals. Garments and accessories of this color have hardly been staying in stock! I’ve linked some of my favorite pieces below.
Now, you may have heard the rule, “you can’t wear white after Labor Day.” Well it’s about time to forget about those fashion “rules” and embrace wearing fresh whites at any point in the year. One of my favorite ways to do this during the fall is through a monochromatic look, mixing lighter whites with my eggshells/light beiges. I like to add a slight pop of color with an animal print or tan shoe, then accessorize with a neutral belt, hat, or jewelry. This gives you a way to brighten up your wardrobe while creating a chic, elevated look.
A few other tones you will want to keep your eye out for are your olive greens, darker blues/navy, and asphalt grays, which can all mix in with these three favorites of mine! Try throwing on a gray bootie with your burgundy sweater, a navy pant with your cream cardigan, or a saddle colored shoe with your olive green pants. Versatility and timelessness are essentials to a wardrobe, and these autumn colors give just that. Happy shopping!
