Friday Favs - Seasonal Home Edition
Well it’s Friday, and I have some favs to share! From a true lover of all things seasonal and holiday related, this time of year is my jam. I love picking up fresh decor pieces that I can keep up for longer than a couple weeks. I like to have clean and simple decor in my home so that it is neutral enough to work in whatever part of the house I want to use it. I love having items in my home that the kids can enjoy as well, not too fragile or expensive.
Ceramic Pumpkin-
These cute little pumpkins look so cute in my kitchen. They are big enough to hold about a cup of something and I filled mine with candy corns. My babies, and Case love the little fall candy, they each take turns sneaking one when they think I’m not looking! Having holiday home decor that the kids can be involved in makes it special to them too. They both like to take turns filling up the pumpkins when the candy corn runs out!
Frosty Mini Pinecone Wreath-
There is something perfectly nostalgic about wreaths. They promise that the holidays are approaching and they don’t require any work other than looking pretty on a door or wall. The mini pinecone was a favorite style of mine because I can use it over and over again, storing it gently away until the next holiday season comes. I love driving up to my home after work or when the kids and I have been out to see the cozy wreath welcoming us back home. I know Case isn’t as romantic about the holidays as I am, but he humors me and lets me be as cheesy as I need to be.
Hintze Throw Pillow -
Throw pillows may be the easiest way to add a touch of the season into your home without having to lift a finger. We love our couch and living room area, so many family moments take place on the couch, movie watching or game playing. Having a holiday pillow in a neutral tone makes it easy to add some holiday pop without a clashing color that may not be in your living room or family area. A pillow can be easily stored and swapped out as needed when the holidays approach!
Capri Blue Holiday Candle-
This may be one of my favorite ways to add the holidays into the home. Smells are such a powerful force. Walking into a home that smells of pine and Christmas just makes me all kinds of happy. I am currently working through this same candle in the pumpkin scent for Thanksgiving and I fully plan to add the next scent very soon! Candles give off a cozy glow that always makes a home instantly feel more intimate, and having nostalgic smells of the season make them special for anyone in the room. I appreciate the confidence of the holiday scents, especially when I know we will have company.
The home and the holidays are a perfect pair, when simple decor choices add that extra bit of warmth it just provides the ideal setting to enjoy family, friends, and all the memories to come. Hope you enjoy a few of my favs and have the best November weekend! Eeekk it is already November!!!
