When the holidays roll around a few of my go to beauty tricks come in handy! As my daughter gets older she is so much fun to share in the love of cosmetics and make up. There are a handful of brands that make exceptional products that I gravitate to, some of these products I have used for years and others are newer items that I am really enjoying! Tanner never hesitates to dig in my makeup and help herself, something I was guilty of not so long ago lol!

I want the makeup we share to be useful for both of us and exactly what we need when it’s time to add a little extra to our everyday look!

My go to foundation for the past few years has been the Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. I discovered this insane foundation at Nordstrom, and it literally creates the best coverage that is not heavy or caked on looking. Tanner and I both want our skin to look smooth but not too thick. I wear mine everyday for work, but Tanner still really doesn’t need foundation (oh to be young again). She recently had her school homecoming and she wanted to go a little extra with her make up and this foundation, was again perfect for that she needed.

My daughter and I love to stroll through Nordstrom together and look at all of the things, for her it’s always the cosmetics and perfume section. We grabbed the newest Armani fragrance to try and it smells devine! She’s calling dibs on it, and I am so thankful that she wants to smell nice. I remember how my mom’s perfume was so special to me! I love a beautiful bottle that not only looks great on the bathroom counter but smells so good to - I have a feeling I will have to locate this one in her bathroom!

I am always a sucker for trying new products from a brand that I trust- so while making my rounds in the Nordstrom cosmetics department I found two Armani products to take home and test out. The eye tint liquid eyeshadow has been so much fun to play with for holiday looks along with the Armani Ecstasy Lacquer in Red To Go. I love a red lip for any event, Tanner not so much. She is a clear gloss kind of gal.

While we may not be going to as many holiday events as normal, it is still fun to play with new products and discover things you never knew you needed! Fresh gloss, easy eyeshadow, a luminous foundation, and a fabulous floral scent made for the best afternoon with my daughter!
