How Shop at a Boutique and feel good about it!
I’ll be the first to admit that shopping at boutiques makes me nervous. I worry about things being over priced or that I will get home and I have major buyers remorse, and nobody enjoys feeling that way! So, I have a few tips that will enable you to walk away feeling confident and happy with what can be a unique and satisfying experience.
1. Don’t pressure yourself to buy
Enjoy exploring and see if anything speaks to you.
2. ALWAYS try on before you take home.
Since most boutiques carry several brands, the sizing will be different based on how each particular brands runs.
3. Familiarize yourself with the stores return policy
You don't want any surprises after your purchase. If the return policy is store credit only make sure you love what you leave with.
4. Appreciate the things that make a boutique special
You definitely will not run into your girlfriends in matching outfits when you change up your shopping game occasionally.
My husband and I had a day together in McKinney,Texas a few weeks back and I popped into the cutest boutique that one of my dear clients friend owns. I discovered trendy swing dresses and graphic tees at a great price. I love current things at a price that I can feel good about. Of course I could NOT leave empty handed lol. Here are a few of my favorite things that I intend to wear out this spring.
So my friends, as spring approaches and the promise of sunshine and 70 degrees, enjoy picking up a few pieces as needed. And if you venture out the the adorable downtown McKinney,Texas square, make sure to swing by Primp Salon & Boutique. Ask for Jeny (the owner), and tell her Stello says hello!
keep loving what you wear!
