How to Wear a Bulky Sweater Without Looking …BULKY
There is something so inviting about an oversized cozy sweater! Like we all need a fireplace to sit next to and a cup of hot cocoa in our hand. I love casual sweater looks, I just prefer not to look like a human blanket in the process. I’ve told you guys before that I am short. It’s hard to put lots of fabric on a 5.2 frame and it look good. That being said , I have figured out a way to wear this warm and easy look and you can too!
1. Wear a fitted, skinny pant on bottom! I have on my faux leather leggings to add a smooth texture next to this yummy pullover sweater. You ALWAYS want to remember to balance out what's on bottom with what's on top. Too much fabric hanging on the body is never a flattering look. Think loose on top, fitted on bottom!
2. Draw attention to the waist line! I am sure you guys have seen lots of pics and people wearing anything from their plaid tops to structured jackets tied around the waist. It is a simple way to have a current casual vibe while at the same time breaking up all that fabric that is on the top half of you. I used my denim jacket and loved the outcome!
3. Throw on the unexpected sneaker! We can all wear boots and simple flats with a sweater and know that it works. However, how fun is the look when you add a sporty shoe? I am crazy about the leather legging back with my adidas!
Know for sure as we all in Texas are praying for cooler weather, and we will be so prepared when the temps finally drop and we can wear this cozy fall look! Happy November all!!
