It’s officially time to layer up and stay warm! December is in full swing and with it comes chilly weather and the need to pull out the cozy coats and furry jackets! I find that most of us tend to gravitate more towards one season and I am definitely more of a fall/winter gal. Nordstrom is my go to when it’s time to shop for a new layer or two! This year it has been fun to play with the faux fur coats and warm knits! My husband comes from west Texas where it is windy and freezing cold, so I always get to pack my layers for our family trips during the holidays. I enjoy wearing looks that are current but soft and cozy as well. I love to be comfy, cozy and cute!

Nordstrom never disappoints to deliver this combination!!

Here in Dallas it tends to go back and forth from super cold to not, this Frame green jackets is exactly what I need for the crazy weather. It has just enough of that layered look without getting too hot, and it is very easy to wear back with just about any neutral color. This scarf though, it’s a splurge for sure, but it instantly elevates my look! I find that when I take my time and invest in a few key pieces, like the accent of a scarf, I wear it over and over again. Plus scarves are the perfect way to keep warm and add an accessory that makes winter dressing fun!

My faux fur coat has people stopping to pet me, it is that amazing! Put me in denim and a beanie back with my Nordy find and I am road trip ready for Christmas! I know that this coat can be dressed up too for dinner or any event that needs that extra something.

So, because I love the looks in winter dressing, I also am a sucker for a chunky knit sweater. The bigger the better! I love the look with a midi skirt for a surprise spin on sweater style. Nordstrom had this sweater and several other similar ones on major sale, so I needed no help snagging this one! Sweaters are like wearing cozy blankets! I can have on jeans and loafers or a skirt and a bootie, both looks make getting dressed easy!

I love winter, I love the holidays, the cold weather, coats and sweaters, hot chocolate and finding great warm options at Nordstrom! Wherever you are headed this holiday season, I hope that you have an amazing time and stay warm!
